• Description
    • A planned walkable, mixed-use neighborhood on a 211-acre site near the southern edge of Ellensburg, Washington — about a mile from downtown and Central Washington University. Designed by Qamar & Associates (Laurence Qamar), the plan works with two existing ponds and a functioning agricultural irrigation system to create a network of canals, greenways, parks, and open space. A mixed-use main street carries apartments above shops with mid-block parking behind, and an adjacent Maker’s District is set aside for small-scale artisan food, beverage, and building trades. Every other street is either a car-free greenway or a limited-auto laneway (a woonerf).
