Description
- A 4,000-acre master-planned community on an island in Charleston, South Carolina, developed by The Daniel Island Company (formed by Frank Brumley and Matthew Sloan) and planned by DesignWorks, which began work with the Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation in 1994. At buildout it is planned for ~6,000 homes, two golf courses and a country club, ~2 million sq ft of office and ~1.2 million sq ft of retail, a marina, and at least 400 acres of open space.
